Night Wolves: Road of Life
In the frontline zone near Bakhmut, the Night Wolves motorcycle unit of the international Pyatnashka Brigade operates. They use motorbikes and quad bikes to deliver ammunition and supplies to the front lines and evacuate the wounded. They call their route along the front the ‘Road of Life.’ Every combat sortie is risky, as enemy FPV drones are constantly hunting the ‘wolves’.
The unit commander, known by callsign ‘Hollywood’, has been fighting in Donbass since 2014. After sustaining a serious injury and being fitted with a prosthetic, he returned to active duty. His squad members – ‘Hooligan’, ‘Edward’, ‘Steeplejack’, and others – volunteered for the front and form a close-knit team. Every fighter here has their own story, but what unites them is a shared determination to achieve victory. Their brotherhood is built on a simple rule: In any predicament, a comrade will never leave you in trouble.
